I am an elected parent representative. I joined the board in February 2021, and have been Presiding Member since February 2024.
I think Broadreen Intermediate is a fantastic school. I am a former student, and I have two children, one who has been through BIS, and the other who is a current student.
I work as National Operations Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Zealand. I have served on several boards, and have been a volunteer mentor, Manager and Coach of multiple sports teams.
I am a big believer in being a part of, and giving back to, our community – a community that gives so much to myself and my whānau.
I’m an elected parent representative. I joined the board at the end of 2022, and my term goes through to 2025.
I believe that it’s important to be involved in our children’s schools, to have a say and to support the kura and the tamariki.
I come from a very ordinary background and a very large family that was involved in practical, community-based support groups.
I love running (but can’t run due to injury) and taekwondo (I got my black belt 3 years ago) and living in Nelson.
I’m the first wahine in my family to graduate high school and go to university, and I have a degree in Criminology, where I studied the role of policing in our society.
I work as a graphic designer, with a background in communications, marketing and positioning.
I hold the position as staff representative on the Board.
I am presently the Sports Coordinator at Broadgreen.
I have been involved with school boards since 1990 and served six years on the Tahunanui Primary School Board, three as Chair and five years on the Nayland College Board, two as Chair.
I currently serve on several other boards in Nelson.
Kate Harrison
I am an Elected parent representative.
I joined the board in 2021.
I have been a teacher both overseas and in Nelson for over 20 years, working at a school within the Stoke-Tahunanui Kahui Ako for the last 9 years.
I love the community and working with the children around here. I enjoy spending time with my children, particularly in the outdoors. There is so much to explore.
Anne Cox
I was elected into the board as a parent representative in 2019.
I put my name forward for the board when my son started at Broadgreen to help me feel connected to the school and to be able to make a contribution back to the community. My two children have now moved on from Broadgreen and across the road to Nayland College.
Outside of the board I am the Compliance Manager at NBS.
